Coachella Set to Break Ground on $38 Million Senior Housing Project
Officials in Coachella are preparing to break ground on a new $38 million affordable senior housing development aimed at supporting lower-income residents.
The project, called Casa Sienna, will feature 53 housing units for seniors ages 62 and older. The four-story development will be built along 6th Street and is expected to include several on-site amenities designed to support residents and encourage community engagement.
Plans for the development include community gathering areas, a computer room, and additional shared spaces for residents.
City leaders say the location was selected to provide convenient access to public transportation, medical services, and nearby retail centers, helping seniors remain connected to essential resources.
Construction on the project is expected to continue through 2027.
