Mary Pickford Theatre in Cathedral City Celebrates 25 Years With $0.25 Movie Deals
The Mary Pickford Theatre is celebrating a major milestone this weekend, marking 25 years of bringing films and entertainment to the Coachella Valley.
To honor the anniversary, the theater is offering special promotions including 25-cent movie tickets and discounted concessions such as $2.50 popcorn and drink deals.
The celebration runs Friday through Sunday and features popular films from the year the theater originally opened in 2001, including Moulin Rouge, Monsters Inc., The Princess Diaries and Tomb Raider.
General Manager Ted Hane, who helped open the theater, says the venue has become a community staple over the years, attracting families, children, and longtime moviegoers alike.
Visitors say the celebration is both nostalgic and affordable, especially as the region heads into triple-digit temperatures, making indoor entertainment a popular option.
The theater says it looks forward to continuing its tradition of offering accessible entertainment for many years to come.
