Morongo Awards Nearly $450,000 to Regional Nonprofits

The Morongo Band of Mission Indians awarded nearly $450,000 in grants today to more than 100 nonprofit organizations serving communities across the region.

The funding was distributed during the tribe’s 5th annual Community Outreach Awards program held at Morongo Casino Resort and Spa.

Officials say organizations received grants of up to $5,000 each to support programs focused on social services, education, healthcare, military families, and Native American culture.

Since the initiative launched in 2022, the Morongo Community Outreach Awards program has provided more than $1.7 million in funding to over 400 nonprofit organizations.

Tribal leaders say the program reflects Morongo’s ongoing commitment to supporting local communities and organizations making a difference throughout the region.
