Firebirds even series at one following 4-0 win over Colorado

The Coachella Valley Firebirds tied the series at one game a piece Friday night at Acrisure Arena against the Colorado Eagles in the Pacific Division Finals.
J.R. Avon broke the scoreless game just 1:20 into the third period off a great set up from Logan Morrison and Tyson Jugnauth. After being shutout in five periods to start the series, the Firebirds struck again nearly two minutes later. A breakaway goal and finish from forward Eduard Sale. J.R. Avon would score his second of the game, followed by an empty net goal from Oscar Fisker Molgaard to finish the scoring.
Nikke Kokko stopped all 33 shots to lead Coachella Valley to a 4-0 win over the Colorado Eagles.
The Pacific Division Final is now tied at one game apiece. The best-of-five series heads to Colorado on Sunday, May 17 at 6 p.m. MT
