Road Work on Highway 111 Extended Through Saturday Morning

Road work on Highway 111 in Palm Springs that started Monday has been extended through Saturday morning. Crews were originally scheduled to wrap up on Thursday, but Caltrans needed more overnight shifts to finish the job.

Tonight, Friday, May 15, workers will be grinding down pavement on southbound Highway 111 from North Volturno Road to District Center Drive, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The number one lane will be closed in roughly two-mile stretches throughout that stretch.

If you're driving that corridor late tonight or early Saturday morning, expect some delays and follow posted signs through the work zone.
