SunLine and Blue Zones Host Transit Town Hall in Palm Springs
SunLine Transit Agency and Blue Zones Project Palm Springs partnered to host a community town hall focused on the future of public transit in the Coachella Valley.
The event took place at the James O. Jessie Desert Highland Unity Center in Palm Springs and highlighted “SunLine Rides Reimagined,” a proposed redesign of the valley’s transit system.
Officials say the proposal aims to improve transportation access to essential services, including food resources, while also promoting community wellness and connectivity throughout the region.
SunLine representatives emphasized the importance of public feedback, noting the agency serves millions of riders each year and relies on community input to better understand where residents need transportation services most.
Community members are encouraged to continue sharing feedback through an online survey as transit officials evaluate possible future changes to the system.
