Trump Backs Navy SEAL Over Incumbent in Kentucky House Primary

Voters in Kentucky are deciding today whether to keep one of their own in Congress or swap him out for a candidate hand-picked by President Trump.
Republican Congressman Thomas Massie, who has held his seat for more than 13 years, is fighting for his political life in today's GOP primary. Massie is a libertarian-leaning Republican who has repeatedly broken with the president, helping lead the push to release the Jeffrey Epstein files and opposing military action against Iran. Trump has called Massie a "total disaster" and is not backing him.
Instead, Trump has thrown his support behind Ed Gallrein, a retired Navy SEAL running to unseat the incumbent. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth campaigned for Gallrein on Monday, signaling just how seriously the White House is taking the race.
Results are expected later tonight.
