Bain Fire Near Jurupa Valley Reaches 81% Containment

The Bain Fire burning in the Santa Ana River bottom near Jurupa Valley and Riverside is now 81 percent contained.

Fire officials say crews have successfully expanded containment lines while fire activity across the burn area has significantly decreased. As a result, all remaining evacuation warnings tied to the wildfire have been lifted.

The fire has burned nearly 1,500 acres since igniting Tuesday near Bain Street and Limonite Avenue.

Firefighters continue monitoring hot spots and reinforcing containment lines as mop-up operations remain underway. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
