An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Saturday, May 23, 2026!

The Coachella Valley will be under lots of sunshine this afternoon with breezy winds, dew-points in the 40s, and near-normal high temperatures in the upper-90s. You can expect more-of-the-same for your Sunday.

As a closed low pressure system moves slowly through the Southwest, on-shore winds will become an issue for the Coachella Valley-area beginning Memorial Day Monday. Winds will be at their strongest during the afternoon and evening hours of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

This disturbance will also play a role in dropping Valley midday highs from the middle-90s on Monday to the upper-80s come Wednesday.
