President Trump Honors Fallen Service Members at Arlington National Cemetery
President Donald Trump marked Memorial Day with a solemn tribute at Arlington National Cemetery, where he laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in honor of fallen U.S. service members.
The president was joined by JD Vance and Pete Hegseth during the ceremony, which paid tribute to military personnel who died while serving the country.
During remarks at the event, Trump honored those who made the ultimate sacrifice, saying Americans gather in solemn remembrance of those who gave their lives so the nation and its freedoms could endure.
Vice President Vance later emphasized the nation’s continued obligation to military personnel currently serving overseas, saying Americans owe a lasting debt of gratitude to those defending the country.
The annual Memorial Day observance at Arlington National Cemetery remains one of the nation’s most prominent ceremonies honoring fallen military service members.
