Lane Closures Coming to Madison Street and Avenue 52 in La Quinta

Drivers heading through La Quinta should plan for some slowdowns starting today. The city is installing an electrical conduit across Madison Street at Avenue 52, and construction is set to run through June 26.

Lane closures are expected throughout the project, so anyone passing through that intersection on weekday mornings should give themselves extra travel time. The good news is crews will not be working on weekends, giving the area a break from construction traffic on Saturdays and Sundays.

The city is asking drivers to use caution in the area while work is underway.
