An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Thursday, May 28, 2026!

Although the Wind Advisory for areas of Southern California was left to expire this morning, on-shore winds will still become strong after sunset this evening. In fact, it looks like the strongest gusts will occur around midnight tonight.

The upper-level cut-off low responsible for those Westerly winds will begin to move its way to the Northeast beginning Friday. In response, winds will back-off while temperatures begin to heat-up.

The Coachella Valley will see lots of sunshine each afternoon into next week while our midday highs warm from the lower-80s today to the middle 80s tomorrow.

Valley temps will then move into the middle-90s on Saturday followed by temps around 100° Sunday. You can expect a week of lower-triples all of next week.
