Blue Zones Project Launches in Coachella Through Ocean Mist Farms Partnership

The Blue Zones Project is officially expanding into Coachella with a new effort focused on building healthier lifestyles and stronger community wellbeing.

The new Blue Zones Project Coachella will be based at Ocean Mist Farms, which recently completed the organization’s validation process and earned Blue Zones worksite approval.

The approval celebration was held earlier today during Ocean Mist Farms’ annual health fair. As part of the initiative, the worksite will introduce several wellness-focused practices including employee self-monitoring health equipment, designated walking routes, and participation in the Blue Zones personal pledge program.

Organizers say the goal is to encourage healthier habits while creating a stronger sense of connection and purpose throughout the community.

Leaders involved with the project say Coachella’s hardworking culture often places work above personal wellbeing, and they hope the initiative will remind residents to prioritize their physical and mental health alongside their daily responsibilities.

Supporters also highlighted future plans to improve walkability and connectivity in the area, including possible links to the CV Link trail system.
