Pillows, Paperclips, and Hunger: Jerry Steffen's Holiday Quiz Will Test What You Think You Know
First up, it's Put a Pillow on Your Fridge Day. Yes, that is a real holiday. The tradition traces back to the early 20th century, when people would place bed linen in or on their food pantries. Once refrigerators became a household staple, the superstitious made the swap, resting a pillow on top of the fridge to bring good luck and fortune.
It's also National Paperclip Day, marking the anniversary of the first patent, granted in 1867 to Samuel Fay. As for World Hunger Day, it's a reminder to raise awareness around food insecurity and support the organizations working to feed people around the world.
And speaking of hunger, that word became the theme of today's two-question pop quiz. Think you can get them right? Watch the video and find out.
