Five Coachella Valley Nonprofits Awarded Nearly $677,000 in Grant Funding
Five Coachella Valley nonprofit organizations are set to receive nearly $677,000 in grant funding from the Desert Healthcare District and Foundation.
Officials say the funding will support a variety of community programs and services throughout the region, including healthcare scholarships, air quality improvement efforts, and assistance for unsheltered residents.
Among the organizations receiving grants is Martha's Village and Kitchen, which provides housing assistance, food programs, and supportive services for individuals experiencing homelessness.
Other recipients include Dr. Reynaldo J. Carreon Foundation, Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, Alianza Coachella Valley, and Braille Institute.
The Desert Healthcare District and Foundation says the grants are intended to strengthen local health resources while addressing some of the Coachella Valley’s most pressing community needs.
Officials say the funding reflects ongoing efforts to support underserved populations and improve overall health outcomes throughout the region.
