White House Launches Immigration Enforcement Website Tracking Arrests Nationwide
The White House has launched a new immigration enforcement website called “Aliens.gov,” a platform that maps immigration-related arrests and enforcement activity across the United States.
The launch was teased overnight through a short video posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. The website includes a live ticker displaying the number of immigration “encounters” reported nationwide. As of Friday morning, the counter showed more than 31 million encounters.
According to the administration, the site is intended to provide transparency and public access to immigration enforcement information.
However, immigrant rights advocates are voicing concern over the messaging and potential impact of the platform. Critics argue the site could heighten fear within immigrant communities and contribute to misinformation or harmful rhetoric surrounding immigration.
Community organizations say they are especially concerned about how immigration statistics and arrest information are being presented publicly, warning that it may further stigmatize vulnerable populations.
One local advocate described the platform as a form of manipulation that could fuel resentment and division, adding that immigrant communities already face significant fear and uncertainty surrounding enforcement operations.
Advocacy groups say they plan to continue educating residents about immigration rights while pushing for what they describe as fair and respectful treatment of immigrant communities nationwide.
