Good Samaritan Returns Lost Wallet with $500 to Grateful Omaha Cyclist

OMAHA, Nebraska — A routine nine-mile bike ride home from a baseball game briefly turned into a financial nightmare for local resident David Jacobson. After traveling his usual route along the bike trail on John Pershing Drive, just north of Eppley Airfield, Jacobson realized his wallet had vanished.

The loss was devastating. Inside the wallet were five $100 bills—money Jacobson had specifically set aside to pay his monthly bills. Jacobson, a long-time employee at the Dubliner Pub who has worked in Omaha's Old Market since 1989, spent nearly three days frantically searching the trail and tearing apart his bike's side saddlebags, but found nothing.

The Unthinkable Note
