Palm Springs Plans Three Days of Free Fourth of July Events

The City of Palm Springs is hosting a three-day Fourth of July celebration from July 2 through 4, with most events free to the public.
The weekend kicks off Thursday, July 2, with a party at VillageFest in downtown Palm Springs from 7 to 10 p.m., featuring games, crafts, live music, and snow cones while supplies last. On Friday, July 3, the Palm Springs Swim Center opens for free swim at 6 p.m., followed by a showing of "The Sandlot" at 7 p.m. Families are encouraged to bring swimsuits, towels, and lawn chairs.
The main event lands Saturday, July 4, at Sunrise Park. A pool party runs from 3 to 10 p.m. at the Swim Center, with games, activities, and food available for purchase. Starting at 5 p.m., Sunrise Park will host free activations including arts and crafts, face painting, photo opportunities, and an All-American History Wall. The Palm Springs Power take the field at 6 p.m. for a special holiday baseball game, though that event does require a ticket, available at PalmSpringsPowerBaseball.com.
At 7 p.m., Turn the Page, a Bob Seger tribute band, plays a free Concert in the Park. The night wraps up with the Fireworks Spectacular at 9:15 p.m. sharp.
