Latest Results Come in For District 48 Congressional Race

The latest results for District 48 Congressional district race are in, a closely watched race statewide. District 48 was one of several California districts that were changed under Proposition 50 - a measure that was passed back in November of 2025 to favor more Democratic elected officials.

Now according to the latest numbers, Republican candidate Jim Desmond is leading the race with 41 percent of votes, and Democrat Marni Von Wilpert following behind with 20 percent of votes.
