Pet of the Week: Meet Ellie, a Senior Sweetheart Looking for a New Home

Ellie has known love her entire life, but her owner recently had to move into assisted living and was unable to bring her along. Now this sweet senior girl is looking for a new family to spend her golden years with. She is house trained, great on a leash, rides well in the car, and gets along with other dogs and new people alike.

Animal Samaritans also has several other dogs looking for homes, including Evie, a playful terrier mix with one-of-a-kind markings, Walter, a fluffy and lovable dog currently in foster care, and Doodle, who has been with the shelter for nearly two years and is as sweet as they come.

Animal Samaritans will host an adoption event this Saturday, June 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at PetSmart, located at 34-900 Monterey Avenue in Palm Desert. Staff will be on hand to help match you with the right pet for your home and lifestyle.
