NBC Palm Springs to Re-Air ‘Restoring the Salton Sea’ Special This Saturday
NBC Palm Springs viewers will have a chance to revisit the station's in-depth series on the future of the Salton Sea this Saturday morning.
A special presentation of "Restoring the Salton Sea," reported by Olivia Sandusky, will air from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and feature portions of the first two installments of the series.
The documentary project explores ongoing efforts to address environmental, economic and public health concerns surrounding the Salton Sea, one of Southern California's most significant ecological challenges.
Viewers who have not yet seen the third installment can find it on the NBC Palm Springs YouTube channel. The station also announced that a fourth chapter in the series is currently in development and is expected to premiere later this summer.
The "Restoring the Salton Sea" series continues to examine restoration efforts, community impacts and the long-term future of the region's largest inland lake, bringing attention to one of the most pressing environmental issues facing the Coachella Valley and surrounding communities.
NBC Palm Springs encourages viewers to tune in Saturday morning for the special rebroadcast and to follow future coverage as the series continues.
