The Coachella Valley will see lots of sunshine this afternoon with high temperatures around 100°. Your Tuesday comes with sunny skies and midday temps just above 100°.

Although an upper-level high pressure system is currently centered over the NE Pacific, this ridge will begin to nudge its way over Southern California beginning midweek. This will result in adding additional heat to the Valley.

Starting Wednesday -- and continuing into the weekend -- Valley highs will surpass 105° each afternoon. Palm Springs' numbers will rise from 107° on Wednesday to 109° by Saturday.

Valley dew points will reside in the lower-40s today and tomorrow, close to 50° on Wednesday. You can expect middle-of-the-day relative humidity to bottom-out in the teens through Thursday.
