Think You Know Your Holidays? Jerry Steffen's Pop Quiz Is Ready to Stump You
Monday, June 8th, 2026, is packed with reasons to celebrate, and weatherman Jerry Steffen broke it all down during the latest Hashtag Holiday Calendar Pop Quiz segment, brought to you by One Coachella Valley.
The day kicks off with National Best Friends Day, a holiday dedicated to honoring those special bonds and the continued support shared with our closest companions. Whether that means grabbing lunch, having a drink, or just picking up the phone, the day is all about the people who have been there through it all.
It is also National Jelly-Filled Donut Day, a follow-up to last Friday's National Donut Day. Today's spotlight goes to those sweet, fruit-filled pastries where every bite comes with a little surprise inside. And rounding out the calendar is National Name Your Poison Day, a lighthearted nod to the classic bartender expression used when asking customers for their drink of choice.
That last holiday inspired today's two-question pop quiz, and both questions are trickier than they might seem.
1) To help children learn to avoid ingesting dangerous household substances, the Mr. Yuck sticker was introduced to the public in the 1970s. The image features a face with a tongue sticking out, but what color was Mr. Yuck's face?
A) Black
B) Green
C) Red
2) One of the top five hair bands of the 1980s, the Pennsylvania-based glam band Poison was fronted by lead vocalist Bret Michaels. The band landed several songs in the top 10, including Talk Dirty to Me and Unskinny Bop, but their only Billboard number one hit was a power ballad from 1988. Which song was it?
A) Every Rose Has Its Thorn
B) Pour Some Sugar on Me
C) Round and Round
Think you know the answers? Watch the video above to find out if you got them right, and tune in to NBC Palm Springs each morning for the latest from the Hashtag Holiday Calendar Pop Quiz.
