Traffic Signal Repairs Planned at Highway 111 and Indian Trail
Motorists traveling through Palm Desert should expect delays Wednesday morning at the intersection of Highway 111 and Indian Trail.
City officials announced that the traffic signal at the intersection will be temporarily taken out of service beginning at 8:30 a.m. while crews repair equipment damaged in a recent traffic collision.
During the repair work, the intersection will operate as a four-way stop. Temporary traffic control measures will be in place to help direct vehicles safely through the area.
Officials are urging drivers to use caution when approaching the intersection and to allow extra travel time for potential delays.
Motorists may also want to consider alternate routes to avoid congestion while repairs are underway.
The city has not announced how long the work is expected to last, but officials say the temporary traffic controls will remain in place until repairs are completed and the signal is restored to normal operation.
