Riverside County Seeking Applicants for New Audit Committee

Riverside County is seeking residents to help oversee county operations through a newly established audit committee.

County officials announced that applications are being accepted through July 1 for public members interested in serving on the committee, which will review county policies, procedures and financial practices.

The audit committee is intended to provide independent oversight and help ensure transparency, accountability and effective government operations.

Officials say they are particularly interested in applicants who have experience in accounting, auditing, financial management or related fields. Both residents and business owners are encouraged to apply.

The committee will meet quarterly and work alongside county leadership to evaluate financial controls, audit findings and operational practices.

Public members appointed to the committee will serve two-year terms and will not receive compensation for their service.

County leaders say the committee will play an important role in strengthening public trust and ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources.

Additional information about eligibility requirements and the application process is available through Riverside County. Applications must be submitted by July 1.
