Although an Air Quality Alert has only been issued for areas of Imperial County due to elevated ozone levels, the Air Quality Index for Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley-area today falls in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups category.

While the general public is unlikely to experience any health problems, those with heightened vulnerability issues may experience adverse effects like breathing difficulties or irritation.
