An NBC Palm Springs Air Quality Advisory on Tuesday, June 16, 2026!

Because of smoke emanating from the 'Shore Fire' near Calimesa, the resulting particulate matter has lowered the Air Quality in areas of Southern California.

Today's AirNow forecast has the Coachella Valley in the 'Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups' category.

But this morning's IQAir rating has the Valley firmly in the 'Unhealthy' grade. Their forecast has improving conditions by tomorrow, but that could change depending of when firefighters get control of this fire.
