Average Riverside County Gas Price Drops To Lowest Amount Since March 18

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular
gasoline in Riverside County dropped today for the 26th time in 27 days,
falling 2.5 cents to $5.558, its lowest amount since March 18.
The average price has dropped 50.7 cents over the past 27 days,
including 1.3 cents Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price
Information Service. It dropped 18 consecutive days, was unchanged June 8 and
resumed decreasing the following day.
The average price is 16.5 cents less than one week ago and 50.2 cents
lower than one month ago, but $1.102 more than one year ago.
The national average price dropped for the 26th consecutive day,
decreasing 2.1 cents to $4.044, its lowest amount since April 23. It has fallen
52 cents over the past 26 days, including nine-tenths of a cent Monday.
The national average price is 11.7 cents less than one week ago and
47.3 cents lower than one month ago, but 90.4 cents more than one year ago.
