Scam Alert: Fake Edison Flyers Target Southern California Customers
A scam alert tonight for Southern California Edison customers.
If you receive a flyer claiming to be from Southern California Edison, you may want to take a closer look.
SCE says scammers are using official-looking designs, company logos and urgent language to trick customers into sharing billing information or signing up for programs not affiliated with the utility.
So far this year, more than 130 incidents have been reported involving misleading claims of ties to Edison.
Customers are urged to verify any communication through official SCE channels and never share personal or financial information with unsolicited contacts.
If you think you may have been targeted, you can report it through Southern California Edison’s scam alert website.
