Free Hospitality Leadership Course Announced
PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — The Palm Springs Hospitality Association is launching a new professional development initiative designed to strengthen the local tourism workforce this summer. In partnership with College of the Desert’s Partnership and Community Education program, the association is offering a free leadership training course tailored specifically for its members and their employees. The comprehensive seven-week program is scheduled to run on Monday mornings from July 13 through August 24, providing accessible professional development to help hospitality workers elevate their careers.
The curriculum focuses on equipping current and aspiring industry leaders with essential management strategies to navigate modern corporate environments. Throughout the multi-week series, participants will dive deeply into key areas such as emotional intelligence, strategic communication, proactive problem-solving, and effective methods for handling unique workplace challenges. By integrating practical leadership models with self-awareness training, the coursework aims to help professionals improve team cohesion, enhance customer service standards, and build resilient operational systems within the desert region's competitive hospitality market.
Sessions will be held in person at a Palm Springs facility, offering a collaborative environment where local resort, restaurant, and tourism employees can interact and share operational insights. Because the program is fully funded through the community education partnership, qualified participants can earn valuable professional credentials without any out-of-pocket tuition expenses. Organizers emphasize that space is limited and advanced registration is required to participate. Interested hospitality professionals and association members can enroll by sending a direct email to the registration address provided by the program coordinators.
