An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Thursday, June 25, 2026!

The Coachella Valley will be under clear skies today with dew points in the 30s, middle-of-the-day relative humidity around 10%, and near-normal high temperatures close to 105°.

As a trough of low pressure approaches the Southwest, on-shore winds will strengthen across the Southland on Friday, but especially on Saturday when maximum sustained winds in the Valley approach the low 30 mph range (gusts in the 40s) during the late-afternoon/evening hours.

A Wind Advisory and Air Quality Alert are both likely for areas of Southern California. Stay tuned!

Although this frontal boundary will fizzle-out as is makes its way through SoCal, it will play a role in pulling-down Valley midday highs from around 102° on Friday to the middle-90s come Sunday.
