Indio to Celebrate Fourth of July with Expanded Independence Day Bash

The City of Indio is inviting residents and visitors to celebrate Independence Day at its third annual Independence Day Bash on Saturday, July 4.

The free community event will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Empire Polo Grounds and will feature live music, a free kids zone, food and beverages, and activities for all ages. A bar will also be available for guests 21 and older.

The evening's main attraction will be an expanded patriotic drone show beginning at 9:30 p.m. City officials say this year's display will feature twice as many drones as last year's event, making it the largest drone show the city has hosted.

Parking opens at 5:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the festivities.

The annual celebration is free and open to the public.
