An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Saturday, June 27, 2026!

As a trough of low pressure moves through the Southwest, strong on-shore winds will be an issue this evening.

A Wind Advisory has been posted for the West end of the Coachella Valley into the San Gorgonio Pass through early Sunday morning. Those wind-prone areas of the Valley will also experience strong, gusty winds overnight.

Also -- because of windblown dust -- an Air Quality Alert has been posted for the Valley into Sunday morning.

This frontal boundary will also play a role in keeping Valley midday temperatures below-normal the next few afternoons.
