Blockbuster Film Lineup Set to Dominate Movie Theaters in July 2026
July is shaping up to be an incredibly busy month at the movie theaters, with several major blockbusters and highly anticipated features heading to your local cinema.
The theatrical lineup kicks off on July 1st with "Minions and Monsters," featuring the return of Gru's little yellow sidekicks to the big screen. This time around, the Minions are showing an interest in the creative side of filmmaking, proving they have a real gift for wanting to direct. Following shortly after, Disney is giving "Moana" the live-action treatment. The film features Dwayne Johnson reprising his role as Maui, the iconic shapeshifter and demigod of the wind and sea, with the movie hitting theaters on July 10th.
Mid-month brings the arrival of Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated follow-up to "Oppenheimer." Titled "The Odyssey," Nolan's latest project is scheduled to set sail in cinemas on July 17th. Audiences looking for even more ancient Greek storytelling can also look forward to "Hadestown." The Tony Award-winning musical production is heading to the big screen for a strictly limited engagement, screening for just five nights starting July 24th.
Rounding out the action-packed month, your friendly neighborhood superhero returns to the big screen in "Spider-Man: Brand New Day." Marking Tom Holland's fourth Spider-Man film, the new action feature is scheduled to premiere in theaters on July 31st.
