North Shore Shooting Victim Identified as 44-Year-Old Mecca Man

Investigators have now identified 44-year-old Alberto Padron of Mecca as the man who died in a shooting early Sunday morning in North Shore.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department was called out at 12:08 a.m. Sunday to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 98000 block of Surfside Avenue. When deputies arrived, they found two men who had been shot. Padron died at the scene, while the second man, only identified as 43 years old, was taken to a nearby hospital and is listed in stable condition.
No arrests have been made, and detectives are now investigating the shooting as a homicide. Riverside County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Alberto Loureiro said investigators are still pursuing leads.
