Palm Springs Neighborhoods Face Off in Summer Food Drive Challenge to Fight Hunger

Palm Springs neighborhoods are going head-to-head this summer to fight hunger here in the Coachella Valley. The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert and 1PS are kicking off a two-month food drive challenge today.

Neighborhood groups will compete to collect the most food, pet food, and cash donations for the center's community food bank. Organizers say the need is high, with a recent survey finding one in four Valley adults has had to skip meals because they couldn't afford food.
