Early Registration Opens for Indio's Third Annual Veterans Day Run and Walk

Early bird registration is now open for the City of Indio's third annual Veterans Day Run and Walk.

The annual event is scheduled for November 11 at the Empire Polo Club and will feature both a traditional 5K race and a new 10K course, giving participants more ways to honor veterans while staying active.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Hunter Lopez Memorial Foundation and American Legion Post 739, two organizations dedicated to supporting veterans, active-duty military members, military families and the local community.

Organizers say veterans will receive a 25% discount on registration, while children under the age of 10 can participate free of charge, making the event accessible for families of all ages.

Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in both the 5K and 10K races.

City officials say the Veterans Day Run and Walk has become an annual tradition that brings the community together to recognize the service and sacrifice of America's veterans while raising funds for organizations that continue to serve them year-round.

Participants are encouraged to register early to take advantage of discounted pricing before regular registration begins. Organizers expect another strong turnout as the event returns for its third year at the Empire Polo Club.
