Firefighters Stop Storage Fire From Spreading at Indio Apartment Complex

Firefighters prevented a fire from spreading to nearby apartments Sunday afternoon at the Cielo Vista Apartments in Indio.

According to CAL FIRE, crews were dispatched shortly after 4 p.m. to the apartment complex on Shadow Palm Avenue following reports of a fire.

When firefighters arrived, they found flames in a detached storage area. Officials said a nearby vehicle was not on fire and was moved out of the way before crews launched an aggressive attack on the blaze.

Firefighters quickly contained the fire, limiting damage to the storage area and minimizing impacts to surrounding structures.

No injuries were reported, and no residents were displaced by the fire.
