It's A Kissy, Crispy Hashtag Holiday Calendar

First up is National Hand Roll Day, honoring the cylindrical style of Japanese hand roll sushi and encouraging sushi lovers to try a crisp, freshly made tamaki. Also on the calendar is National Fried Chicken Day, a favorite across the country that was apparently first introduced to the American South by Scottish immigrants.

Rounding out the holiday lineup is World Kiss Day, celebrated as a fun follow-up to Valentine's Day and meant to remind people of the simple pleasure of kissing for kissing's sake. Fittingly, today's pop quiz features two kiss-themed questions, alongside a few other tricky trivia picks.

Think you know your kiss history and your rom coms? Put your knowledge to the test with the questions below, then watch the attached video to see how Jerry, Caitlin, and Chris did.

  1. 1) One of the more unusual recordings to become a worldwide hit in 1988 was a duet between British synth pop group Art of Noise and Welsh crooner Tom Jones. Their techno version of the song "Kiss" was a take on a hit that topped the Billboard charts just two years earlier. Which artist originally had the hit?

 A) Michael Jackson

 B) Prince

C) Tina Turner

  1. 2) "Never Been Kissed" is a 1999 romantic comedy starring Drew Barrymore as shy newspaper reporter Josie Geller, who goes undercover in high school for a story and ends up falling for her English teacher. After the truth comes out, Josie finally gets her first kiss from her crush. Where does it happen?

A) A baseball field

B) A school bus

C) The theater stage

Watch the video above to see if you can out quiz the crew, then head into your Monday with a little extra trivia in your back pocket, and maybe a craving for sushi or fried chicken.
