An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Tuesday, July 7, 2026!

An Extreme Heat Warning has been posted for a large area of Southern California including the Coachella Valley where high temperatures will exceed 110° today, tomorrow and Thursday. (See images for city-by-city details.)

Valley dew points will hover in the 40s through Thursday followed by higher humidity beginning this weekend.

The Valley will be under clear skies through Friday, followed by high clouds on Saturday, then thicker cloud cover for your Sunday and Monday.

A few weather computer models have heavy monsoonal moisture over Arizona with some moving over Eastern Southern California on Sunday and Monday. While the bulk of showers and thunderstorms will occur over our neighboring state, a few pop-up storms are possible over Valley mountains those two days.
