Palm Springs to Host Extreme Heat Summit This September

The Palm Springs Sustainability Commission is inviting the public to attend an Extreme Heat Summit focused on preparing communities for rising temperatures.

The summit will take place Friday, Sept. 18, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

Experts in public health, emergency management, urban planning and climate resilience will share practical strategies to help communities adapt to extreme heat and build a safer, more resilient future.

The event is open to both professionals and community members who want to learn more about preparing for the impacts of extreme heat and protecting vulnerable populations.
