Fire Crews Fight Brush Fire Near Thousand Palms Businesses

Fire crews are on scene in Thousand Palms after a brush fire broke out near businesses late this morning. Cal Fire says it got reports of the fire around 9:40 a.m. near the intersection of Rio Del Sol and Vista Chino, and arrived to find brush burning nearby.

Officials say the fire is under control, though no time has been given for full containment. So far, no injuries or damage to any buildings have been reported. Four engines remain on scene working the fire.
