'Little House on the Prairie' Returns on Netflix with a New Cast
One of television's most beloved family dramas is making a comeback.
Little House on the Prairie has returned as a new Netflix series, introducing a fresh cast while honoring the spirit of the classic show that captivated generations of viewers.
Leading the revival are Luke Bracey and Crosby Fitzgerald as Charles and Caroline Ingalls, stepping into the iconic roles originally portrayed by Michael Landon and Karen Grassle. The pair say they began building their on-screen chemistry even before filming, noting that their audition scenes helped establish the foundation for the beloved "Ma and Pa" relationship.
Joining them are Alice Halsey as the adventurous Laura Ingalls and Skywalker Hughes as her thoughtful older sister, Mary. The young actresses bring new life to the sibling bond that became a hallmark of the original series.
Bracey and Fitzgerald also shared that creating a playlist for their characters helped strengthen both their performances and their connection off-screen.
During a lighthearted interview, the actors joked that if they were truly stranded in an 1870s log cabin during a harsh winter, survival would depend on teamwork rather than individual skills.
Netflix has already renewed Little House on the Prairie for a second season before the first has fully settled in with audiences, underscoring the streaming service's confidence in the reimagined series.
The new season is available to stream now on Netflix.
