Police Chase Ends With Crash on Ohio Golf Course

A dramatic police pursuit unfolded on an Ohio golf course after a suspect accused of attempted murder led authorities on a chase through the area.

Video captured from a golf cart shows a silver van speeding across the course as police followed behind. According to the Ohio State Patrol, the pursuit lasted about 10 minutes, but the suspect had already been on the run for several hours.

The chase came to an end when the van crashed into a patrol vehicle. Body camera video from the trooper showed the close call, with the trooper having stepped away from the vehicle only moments before the impact.

Authorities say the suspect attempted to flee from the scene after the crash but was later taken into custody.

The trooper appeared shaken after the incident, describing a narrow escape after leaving the patrol vehicle just seconds before the collision.
