Two Dogs Removed from Cabazon Property Amid Animal Abuse Investigation

Two dogs have been removed from a Cabazon property as Riverside County Animal Services investigates an alleged case of animal abuse.

Warning: The video associated with this investigation contains disturbing content. County officials say the investigation was prompted by a video circulating on social media that appears to show a dog being abused. NBC Palm Springs has chosen not to air the most graphic portions of the footage.

The man seen in the video has been identified as Craig D'Alessandro.

With assistance from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, animal control officers removed two dogs from the property. The animals are now receiving veterinary care and are being held under a mandatory 14-day impound period while the investigation remains active.

The dogs will not be available for adoption until the investigation and legal process are complete.
