Free Cancer Support Services Available for Coachella Valley Patients and Families
A cancer diagnosis affects more than just the person receiving the news—it also impacts families, friends, and caregivers. That's why Cancer Support Community Palm Springs and Coachella Valley is working to ensure no one in the Coachella Valley faces cancer alone.
The nonprofit organization provides free counseling, support groups, wellness classes, educational programs, and emotional support for cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and their loved ones. All services are offered at no cost, with programs available in both English and Spanish to better serve the diverse communities of the Coachella Valley.
Organization leaders say many people associate a cancer diagnosis with fear and uncertainty, but having a strong support system can make a meaningful difference throughout treatment and recovery. Their mission is to create a welcoming community where people can connect with others who understand what they're experiencing while receiving resources to help them navigate every stage of their cancer journey.
Services include one-on-one counseling, available both virtually and in person, along with support groups that bring together patients, survivors, and caregivers. The organization also offers healthy lifestyle classes and community events designed to promote physical and emotional well-being.
Cancer Support Community Palm Springs and Coachella Valley says its goal is to ensure that no one has to face cancer alone by providing compassionate care, education, and support for anyone affected by the disease.
