Pedestrian Hospitalized After Crash in Bermuda Dunes

A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Saturday morning in Bermuda Dunes.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just before 11 a.m. on Washington Street, north of Harris Lane.

Investigators say the man was standing in the number three lane of traffic when he was struck by a black Ram pickup truck.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities following the collision.

Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a local hospital for treatment. Officials have not released information about the victim's condition.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and it is unclear what led the pedestrian to be in the roadway at the time of the incident.
