Netflix Among Companies Interested in Buying Letterboxd

Netflix is reportedly among several companies interested in acquiring Letterboxd, the popular social media platform for film enthusiasts.
Founded in 2011, Letterboxd is majority-owned by a Canadian company, while its original co-founders retain a 40 percent stake. According to Variety, the company is in discussions with multiple potential buyers for its app and website.
Possible suitors reportedly include Netflix, Sony Pictures, Paramount Skydance, and a venture capital firm led by Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
Letterboxd has grown rapidly in recent years and now boasts more than 30 million members worldwide, including approximately 10 million new users added over the past year.
The investment bank overseeing the potential sale reportedly values the company at approximately $250 million.
