Expect Delays on Monday During Storm Drain Work in Palm Springs

Drivers in Palm Springs are being advised to plan for delays tomorrow as crews conduct geotechnical investigations as part of the design process for Storm Drain Line 6, according to the city.

The work is scheduled to take place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. along Avenida Caballeros near East Louise Drive, Alexander Way, East Racquet Club Road and East Sunair Road.

Crews will drill boreholes to study underground conditions and gather information that engineers will use to design future storm drain improvements in the area.

City officials say motorists should expect intermittent lane closures throughout the day and allow extra travel time if driving through the area.

Drivers are also encouraged to use caution and watch for construction crews and equipment while the work is underway.
