Franks, Beans, and Bragging Rights, It's Pop Quiz Monday on Hashtag Holiday Calendar
July 13th turned out to be a packed day on the calendar. It's National Gruntled Workers Day, a lighthearted flip on the usual disgruntled worker talk, meant to celebrate the people who actually love what they do. It's also National Barbershop Music Appreciation Day, honoring the American a cappella tradition of four part close harmony singing that gave us classics like Sweet Adeline and Moonlight Bay. And since the calendar loves a good food pairing, it's also National Frank and Beans Day, landing right in the middle of hot dog month and celebrating the classic combo of baked beans, sliced hot dogs, and a sweet and savory sauce with roots that trace all the way back to the Civil War.
With frank and beans on the brain, Jerry built two trivia questions around the day's theme, one all about a Frank and one all about beans. Think you can outscore the studio? Test your knowledge by watching the attached video to see how it played out.
1) When it comes to singing, Frank Sinatra is the chairman of the board, but which of these Franks placed over a dozen singles in the Billboard Top 10?
A) Frank Sinatra
B) Frankie Avalon
C) Frank Zappa
2) The 2011 film Moneyball follows the Oakland Athletics' 2002 season and how the team's general manager, Billy Beane, assembles a competitive team with about half as much money for player salaries as his rivals. Which actor plays Billy Beane in the film?
A) Brad Pitt
B) Kevin Costner
